Golang Job: Cloud Software Platform Developer

Job Description:

The HPE Green Lake Cloud Platform organization brings together a rich portfolio of some of the best technologies in the Industry for Cloud Management, Governance, Compliance, and Analytics. The GreenLake Cloud R&D team develops and maintains the SaaS platform and core services that integrate many individual services together in order to deliver value for our customers.

HPE Green Lake Cloud Platform team is currently seeking experienced, highly qualified and motivated candidates for a cloud platform developer role. In this role, you will work as a member of a software team delivering the Kubernetes based platform for GreenLake Cloud, a core part of HPE’s as a Service strategy. The platform and supporting applications are built using a modern micro-service architecture written in Golang and released via continuous delivery methodologies.

The team is comprised of local members based in Galway working in a highly-productive, fast-paced environment using agile development methodologies and delivering frequently against a very aggressive development schedule.

How you’ll make your mark:

• Experience developing with multiple languages such as Golang, Python, Java, etc.
• Experience with microservice architecture, REST, API’s, gRPC
• Experience with automated CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Deployment) tools and processes such as Jenkins, CircleCI and GitOps
• Experience managing and maintaining microservices (monitoring, alarming, repairing) on a 24x7x365 basis
• Strong Linux development background
• Understanding of container and orchestration technologies – Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with public cloud and SDK’s/ API’s for AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience managing infrastructure as code, both on-prem and cloud based, using tools like ansible, terraform, etc.
• Experience and understanding of Agile framework
• Experience or understanding of Test Driven Development
• Understanding of testing, coding, and debugging procedures
• Good analytical and problem solving skill
• Able to learn quickly and work well independently
• Good written and verbal communication skills including mastery in English
